Friday, June 18th Updates
The BookBub Featured Deal was a success! I’m happy to announce that through their program, The Immortal Words was discovered by hundreds of new fans, pushing the total order count close to 2,500! It’s an honor to share my world and my vision with so many people and receive such enthusiastic feedback.
This weekend, I head down to the local bookstore, The Book Nook, where I was invited to bring a stack of books to get on their shelves. If you are in or around Omaha, head down to The Book Nook or The Bookworm to pick up your copy from a local store!
Speaking of Omaha, the Nebraska Get Lit! Conference is rapidly approaching! Come out to the Papillion Landing Center on Saturday, September 13th to meet me, loads of other local authors, pick up some new books/swag, and get anything and everything signed.
As far as writing updates, The Shadow of Stars is still being read by my beta-readers, but it’s been receiving glowing feedback. The shorter, contained novella concept makes the read a nonstop thrill ride, and I can’t wait for its release. I’ll get the rest of the feedback and complete a final draft before polishing it. You should expect to join Herron and Corrinne on their adventure through the Essen Sands later this fall.
Now, for the big, juicy update: Book Two. The second entry—after paying a painful trip to the chopping block—is rapidly coming to life. I haven’t quite caught up to where I was pre-chop, but I’m not far behind, and the chapters that have replaced the old stuff are richer, deeper, and full of excitement and intrigue. I’ll keep updating you as I move along, but I’m hoping to have the full first draft complete by the end of the year.
Hope your summer is going well.
